Dr. Melody Kia obtained her doctoral degree in Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute and her Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Loma Linda University. Her work is grounded in contemporary psychodynamic and Jungian principles. She is invested in exploring the intersection of psychotherapy and spirituality, viewing therapeutic practice as a journey toward spiritual growth led by introspection. She seeks a holistic understanding of each person’s unique experiences and emphasizes the value of supportive, positive relationships for emotional health in therapy. As a guide and witness, she tailors her approach to each individual’s concerns, needs, and backgrounds. Her collaborative method fosters a nurturing environment that strengthens and deepens individuals’ self-connection and interpersonal relationships. She lives in Los Angeles with her dogs, Psyche and Opium. She is passionate about travel, adventure, literature, and language and speaks fluent Farsi, Swedish, and English.
